My name is Elisabeth Rodriguez. I was born in
Buenos Aires, Argentina, on March 5, 1995. I moved to
Miami, Florida, when I was five years old, and began
kindergarten. So far I’m a straight ‘A’ Honor Roll
Student, and when I began second grade, I qualified
for the Gifted Program. My two favorite hobbies are
writing and horseback riding. I’d always wanted to
ride, but I didn't get to do so until I moved to Orlando
in the year 2004. One year later, I began to ride once a
week at an equestrian facility. I loved the sport of
show jumping, and I knew that to fulfill my dream of
one day competing in the Nationals or maybe the
Olympics, I needed as much practice as I could get. I
knew riding once a week wasn’t enough, so I decided
that I needed to get a job in order to buy a good
jumper to practice with. But since I am not of age and
I have to go to school, my parents said I couldn't work
anywhere. I wasn’t going to give up, however.
One day I had an idea. There is no age to work with
my mind. I could put my two favorite things─ writing
and horses─ together and write a book. And here it
is─ my first fiction book─ based on the dreams of a
girl and her horse. Since Sarah’s dreams came true, I
was hoping that maybe, just maybe, mine will too.
